Terms of Service

Putmysign lets you upload PDF documents, send them to recipients for review, approval and electronic signature, and download a finalised, signed copy with an embedded evidence certificate. Recipients can review, comment on, approve or decline a document without creating an account.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce functionality for paying customers.

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.

You can delete your account at any time from Account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your documents and files; see the Privacy Policy for what we retain.

The Free plan allows 10 documents to be sent per calendar month; files and audit trails are kept indefinitely. The Pro plan is a monthly subscription (currently $19/mo) that raises the limit to 100 documents per month, allows longer signing deadlines and enables reminders. Current prices and features are listed on our website.

Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"). Paddle handles payment collection, invoicing, applicable taxes and refunds, and its Buyer Terms apply to your purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Billing; access continues until the end of the paid period, after which your account returns to the Free plan and its 10-document monthly allowance. Files already sent are kept.

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.

When a recipient signs, we record the signature image or typed name, the consent text they agreed to, a timestamp, their IP address and browser, and a cryptographic hash of the signature and of the document. This evidence is embedded in the finalised PDF and can be checked at any time from our verification page.

Signatures collected through the Service are simple electronic signatures. They are legally effective in many jurisdictions - for example under the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA, and as a simple electronic signature under eIDAS in the EU and the UK, where Article 25 eIDAS means a signature cannot be denied legal effect merely because it is electronic. We do not provide advanced or qualified electronic signatures, and we do not independently verify a signer's identity beyond their control of the email address the sender supplied.

Documents this Service is not for. Some documents cannot be signed electronically at all, or need formalities we do not provide. Do not use the Service for these, including:

• wills, codicils and testamentary trusts;
• adoption, divorce and other family-law documents, and court orders or filings;
• notices of eviction, foreclosure, or termination of utilities, health or life insurance;
• product recalls and notices affecting health or safety;
• documents executed as deeds under English law, which require a witness to be physically present;
• documents requiring wet-ink signature under local law - for example termination of employment in Germany (s.623 BGB) - and many real-estate transfers and personal guarantees across the EU;
• documents governed by Indian law that require an Aadhaar eSign or a Digital Signature Certificate from a licensed Certifying Authority under the Information Technology Act 2000, or that attract stamp duty.

This list is not exhaustive. You are responsible for deciding whether an electronic signature is appropriate for your documents under the law that applies to them, and for obtaining any consent or disclosure your counterparties or their regulators require - including, where you send documents to consumers in the United States, the consumer consent disclosures required by section 101(c) of the ESIGN Act.

You retain all rights to the documents you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, render, transmit and display your content solely to provide the Service to you and your recipients. You confirm you have the right to share the documents you upload and that they do not infringe anyone's rights or break the law.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• send unsolicited or deceptive requests, or impersonate anyone;
• upload malware, unlawful content or content that infringes others' rights;
• attempt to access other users' documents or interfere with the Service;
• forge, alter or misrepresent signatures, timestamps or audit records.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

We do not delete your files on a schedule, on any plan. Uploaded, versioned and finalised PDFs are kept while your account exists. You can delete a document at any time from the product, which removes those PDFs from storage and keeps only minimal document metadata and the audit log; that deletion cannot be undone.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Akbar Ali, sole proprietor trading as Putmysign is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you protections that cannot be excluded by agreement, nothing in these Terms removes those protections or your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country. Where local mandatory consumer law conflicts with these Terms, that law prevails.
